Helpless Hope Society (HHS) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to promoting health, education, livelihood, and community welfare initiatives in rural and underprivileged areas of Uttar Pradesh. This CSR Policy outlines the organization’s framework and approach to engage with corporate partners under the Companies Act, 2013 (Section 135) and CSR Rules, 2014, to implement sustainable community development projects.
The purpose of this policy is to :
Establish clear guidelines for planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting CSR-funded
projects.
Ensure alignment of CSR activities with the objectives of Helpless Hope Society and the CSR vision of partner companies.
Promote transparency, accountability, and measurable social impact in the use of CSR funds.
This policy applies to all CSR projects, collaborations, and partnerships undertaken by Helpless
Hope Society with corporate entities, public sector undertakings, or CSR foundations across India.
Helpless Hope Society undertakes CSR activities aligned with Schedule VII of the Companies Act,
2013, including but not limited to:
Education and Skill Development – Running literacy and vocational training programs.
Livelihood Promotion – Supporting SHGs, micro-enterprises, and rural employment.
Healthcare and Nutrition – Organizing health camps, promoting maternal and child health.
Environment and Sanitation – Promoting clean water, sanitation, and afforestation.
CSR projects are planned through community needs assessments and stakeholder consultations.
Project proposals include objectives, beneficiaries, timelines, and budgets. Implementation is conducted directly or in partnership with local organizations, in compliance with CSR rules and
donor company guidelines.
Regular field visits and reviews are conducted by project teams and donor representatives. Progress reports, photographs, and financial statements are shared quarterly. Independent evaluations may be conducted for long-term projects to assess sustainability and outcomes.
CSR funds are utilized solely for approved project activities. A separate ledger and bank account are maintained for CSR grants. All expenditures are documented and undergo statutory audit annually.
Donor companies receive detailed quarterly and annual reports. CSR project outcomes are published in the Annual Report and on the NGO’s website for public disclosure.
This policy will be reviewed annually by the Board of Helpless Hope Society to ensure compliance with amendments to CSR laws and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India.
